The Primary Care and Population Health Grand Rounds topic: “Optimizing Evidence-based Smoking Cessation Treatment: How Can We Help the Remaining Smokers to Quit?” webinar presented by Shadi Nahvi, MD MS live on April 23rd, 2018. Dr. Nahvi’s presentation aims to equip participants with a baseline understanding of how to 1) successfully implement routine tobacco identification and treatment of tobacco use, 2) utilize evidence-based behavioral and pharmacological tobacco cessation treatments, and 3) integrate steps to optimize cessation treatment to enhance efficacy in the primary care setting.
Dr. Shadi Nahvi is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her research focus is on tobacco control interventions among vulnerable populations.
